Morning Strokes

One drizzly February morning this beautiful rainbow appeared. It only lasted 20 seconds.

The Long Story

Sometimes a great painting can take 50 years to realize. Starting in the early 70’s I spent a lot of time searching for the Great Rainbow over Mt. Tam image to photograph. I never found the really big show for 30 years. Then it finally appeared one drizzly February morning after dropping off my son Dan for rowing practice. Of course I had no camera. This is what I saw. It didn’t last twenty seconds. It has taken the last 20 years for me to learn enough to portray the painting in this way.
